Vishal Krishna Reddy popularly known as Vishal is an Indian actor and producer who is known for working in Tamil Cinema. He was born on 29th August 1977 at Visakhapatnam, Andhra radish to G, K. Reddy and Janaki Devi. His father is a film producer. He has an elder brother, Vikram Krishna and a sister, Aishwarya. Actress and ex-VJ Sriya Reddy is his sister-in-law. He did his schooling at Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Chennai. He studied Visual Communication at Loyola College, Chennai. Later, he joined Koothu-P-Pattarai, a Tamil theatre group to improve his acting skills.
He appeared in the 1989 film Jadikketha Moodi as a child artist.
Vishal started his career as an Assistant Director for the film Dedham in 2001.
Vishal made his film debut as a lead character in the 2004 film Chellamae.
In 2005, he appeared in the film Sandakozhi. His performance received mixed reviews. In that year, he appeared in a cameo appearance in the film Dishum.

In 2015, Vishal served as the General Secretary of the Nadigar Sangam (Tamil Artistes’ Association). After that, he was expelled from the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) for remarks against the council. In 2017, Vishal won the election and was elected as the President of the Tamil Film Producers Council.
Vishal also tried his luck in politics. He filed his nomination as an independent candidate for the by-poll to the Radhakrishnan Nagar constituency in Chennai. But his nomination was rejected.
Apart from it, Vishal also protested against online piracy from 2014 and started an anti-piracy cell.
