Kunchacko Boban is an Indian actor and producer who is known for acting in Malayalam films. He was born on 2nd November 1976 in Alappuzha, Kerala, India to the late Boban Kunchacko and Molly. His father was also an actor, director, and producer and his mother is a housewife. Legendary film producer Kunchacko is his grandfather. Navodaya Appachan of Navodaya Studios is his grand uncle. He has two sisters, Anu and Minu. Film director Jijo Punnose is his relative. He did his graduation with B.Com. from Sanatana Dharma College, Alappuzha. He also studied at St. Berchmans College, Changanassery.
He made his acting debut as a child artist in 1981 with Dhanya.
He made his film debut as a lead actor in 1997 with Aniyathipravu. In 1998, he had three releases, Nakshathrathaarattu, Mayilpeelikkavu and Harikrishnans. In 1999, he starred in four films along with Niram.
From 2000 to 2006 he had several releases, such as Priyam (2000), Dosth (2001), Snehithan (2002), Swapnakoodu (2003), Jalothsavam (2004), Five Fingers (2005), Kilukkam Kilukilukkam (2006) etc. In 2008, he appeared in two films, Twenty:20 and LollyPop. Gulumal: The Escape established him as one of the most successful actors of the last decade which was released in 2009. In 2010, he had five releases. But he was praised for his performance in Mummy & Me, Elsamma Enna Aankutty and Sakudumbam Shyamala. He was nominated for Filmfare Awards for Best Actor – Malayalam for his acting in Elsamma Enna Aankutty. He had eight releases in 2011. He won two awards that year for his performance in the film, Seniors.
Later, in 2012, he appeared in his 50th film, Mallu Singh. He also has four other releases that year. In 2013, he had six releases. He won the Asianet’s Films Awards – Special Jury Award for his performance in Pullipulikalum Aattinkuttiyum. He had six other releases in 2014. He won Asianet’s Films Awards that year in the Youth Icon of the Year segment for his performance in How Old Are You. He appeared in six other films in 2015. In 2016, he made his debut as a producer with Kochauvva Paulo Ayyappa Coelho. With the success of the film, Udaya Pictures again made the headline as the iconic Malayalam production house. In that year, he was also seen in six films. In 2017 he starred in three films, Take Off, Ramante Eden Thottam and Varnyathil Aashanka. For his performance in each film, he was praised and his performance helped him to earn several awards and nominations. He had eight released films in 2018. Allu Ramendran and Virus were his two released films of 2019. Anjaam Pathiraa was his only released film in 2020. He had four releases in 2021. He was last seen in the 2022 film Pada.

He married Priya Ann Samuel on 2nd April 2005. Together they welcomed their son Izahaak Boban Kunchacko on April 16, 2019
