Arvind Swamy is an Indian actor, model, entrepreneur and television presenter who is known for working in the Tamil film industry. He was born on 18th June 1970 in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Actor, Delhi Kumar is his biological father. V. D. Swamy and Vasantha are his foster parents. His father is an industrialist and his mother is a Bharatnatyam dancer. He did his schooling at Sishya School, Don Bosco Matriculation Higher Secondary School, and P. S. Senior Secondary School. He did his graduation with B.Com. from Loyola College, Chennai. Then, he completed his master’s degree in international business from Wake Forest University, North Carolina. During his college life, he wanted to be a doctor.
He started his career modelling during his college days.
Arvind made his film debut with the Tamil film, Thalapathi in 1991.
In 1992, he appeared in his second film, Roja. He gained popularity for his performance in Roja. His acting was highly acclaimed and he was nominated for Filmfare Award for Best Actor – Tamil. In that year, he made his Malayalam debut with Daddy.
In 1993, he had two releases, Thalattu and Marupadiyum.
Paasamalargal and Duet were his two released films in 1994.
