Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is a daily soap opera directed by Jai Kalra and Ram Pandey and is produced by Rajan Shahi. It airs from Monday to Saturday on Star Plus India channel. The story was about Akshara and Naitik who were bounded by arrange marriage, how the two fell in love and how they faced the little problems that come in everyone’s lives. Kartik and Naira two individuals who drifted away from their families, due to a misunderstanding. Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai tells the story of how the two meet, time and again, which leads to their relationship progressing further with each encounter. It also shows how they bring each other closer to the family they have drifted apart.
Akshara and Naitik, both from a large Marwari joint family based in Udaipur, have an arranged marriage. After marriage, they struggle to know each other and gradually begin to understand, support and love each other. They soon give birth to a son, Naksh. Naitik falls into a coma due to an accident.
Parallel stories include Akshara’s elder brother, Shaurya’s love story with her best friend Varsha who marry and give birth to a daughter, Ananya. Naitik’s sister, Nandini marries Mohit Agarwal and adopts Yash and Rashmi marries Nikhil.
Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai is the longest-running show on Television. The show started in the year 2009 and is continuously entertaining the audiences with its storyline. Set on the Rajasthani backdrop plot of the show focuses on social issues. Show story started with the love track of Naitik and Akshara role played by Karan Mehra and Hina Khan. Rishta then took the generation leap and the story was shown carried forwarded by Akshara and Naksh’s daughter Naira. Naira gets married to Kartik and duos are presently seen supporting each other.
