Joseph James Rogan is an American UFC colour commentator, podcaster, comedian, actor, and former television presenter who is known for acting and commentator. He was born on 11th August 1967 in Newark, New Jersey. His father’s name is Joseph, is a former police officer in Newark. He completed his schooling and graduated from Newton South High School. He attended the University of Massachusetts Boston but dropped out early. In his childhood, he participated in Little League Baseball and developed an interest in martial arts in his early teens. Rogan took up karate and, a year later started Taekwondo.
When he was 19, he won the US Open Championship taekwondo tournament as a lightweight. Later, he signed as a full-contact for Massachusetts state champion for four consecutive years and became a Taekwondo instructor. After that, he practised amateur kickboxing and held a 2–1 record.
Joe started his career in comedy. After that, he worked in several places such as teaching martial arts at Boston University and in Revere, Massachusetts, delivering newspapers, driving a limousine, doing construction work, and performing duties for a private investigator.
On August 27, 1988, he performed his first stand-up routine at a Stitches comedy club in Boston. Soon, he gained popularity.
In 1994, he signed an exclusive developmental deal with Disney and appeared as an actor on several television shows, including Hardball and NewsRadio. He made his television debut in 1994 with Hardball. He also appeared in the comedy show Half-Hour Comedy Hour that year. After that, he performed at The Comedy Store in Hollywood and was hired as a paid regularly by owner Mitzi Shore.
