Isaac Hempstead Wright is a British actor born in Surrey, England. His father and mother both were teachers. He studied at the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Faversham, Kent.
However, he never had any interest in acting until he joined a drama club for avoiding playing football on Saturday mornings. Later, he got into Kent Youth Theatre in Canterbury. After completing his education, Isaac started his acting career by giving auditions and further started acting in commercials.
It was in the year 2011 when he got a big break on TV as well as in films. He did not just get the role of Bran Stark in the hit television series, Game of Thrones which premiered in April 2011. In the same year, he also featured in his debut feature film, The Awakening.
For the TV series, he got many award nominations as well as awards for his performance. After making his debut on the silver screen, he was seen in a supporting role in the 2013 film, Closed Circuit. Isaac also voice acted in the 2014 animated fantasy-comedy film, The Boxtrolls, an American show, Family Guy, and the TV special, Revolting Rhymes.
Apart from acting, he also appeared in many music videos including the ‘Exits’. Some of his films are The Awakening, Closed Circuit, The Boxtrolls, and Voyagers.
Talking about his personal life, in 2017, he got enrolled at the University of Birmingham until he dropped out to focus on his acting career. Later, he returned to study neuroscience at University College London.
