David Berry was born on January 18, 1984, in Toronto, Canada. He is one of the four children of his parents. David was born in Toronto, Canada but moved to Australia in his youth. As a child, he attended a local private school, and as a teenager he attended school on a scholarship for voice, splitting his time between school and professional performances that included work at Opera Australia and numerous festivals. In 2002, he received a scholarship to study political science at Montreal’s McGill University. Upon his return, he applied and was accepted to the Australian National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), from which he graduated in 2010. Before joining the acting industry, David worked as a journalist.
