‘Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ and ‘Riverdale’ Actor Ryan Grantham Sentenced to Life for Killing His Mother

Famous Tv series Diary of a Wimpy Kid’ and ‘Riverdale’ Actor Ryan Grantham was sentenced to life imprisonment for shooting dead his mother. Ryan Grantham who is well-known for his role in various Tv series was found to be guilty of his mother’s murder in March of 2022. As the reports suggest, the court has issued a lifetime firearm ban for Grantham at the September 20 sentencing. According to CBC News, Ryan Grantham was found to be guilty of the second-degree murder charge against him.

According to the sources, Ryan pleaded guilty to shooting his mother, Barbara Waite, via a single gunshot to the head while she played piano. The decision was provided by the British Columbia Supreme Court in Vancouver. Moreover, Grantham has been known for portraying Jeffrey a young man who accidentally kills Fred Andrews (Luke Perry) in a hit-and-run, on Riverdale. He also starred in Supernatural, iZombie, and Falling Skies.

Ryan handed over himself to the police soon after shooting his 64-year-old mother in her head on March 31, 2020, in the family’s Squamish home, just north of Vancouver. For his criminal offense, he was charged with a second-degree murder charge in B.C. which comes with a no parole eligibility of between 10 and 25 years.
