Im Na-Yeon, famously known as Nayeon, is a famous South Korean singer and songwriter. She is a well-known singer who rose to prominence after appearing on the reality survival television show Sixteen in 2015. Na-Yeon became more well-known worldwide as a member of the South Korean girl group Twice, formed by JYP Entertainment.

\Na-Yeon was one of the first sixteen members to be announced and also the first member to be confirmed twice. Na-Yeon is ranked 82nd on TC Candler’s “The 100 Most Beautiful Faces of 2018”. Prior to Sixteen and her debut as a member of Twice, she appeared in various television advertisements. Nayeon is also the only member of Twice who appeared as a cameo in a drama called Dream High 2, in which Jinyoung and JB GOT7 were also featured.

Im Na-Yeon was born on September 22, 1995, in Seoul, South Korea. She is the oldest daughter of her parents. Her family consists of her parents and younger sister by three years, Im Seo-Yoon. Her mother’s name is Cheon Se-ah. As Na-Yeon was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea, She attended Apgujeong high school and completed her graduation at Konkuk University. Na-Yeon was a very talented and passionate girl, and her mother always supported her in making her dreams come true.

Na-Yeon, as a child, began to participate in various child modeling contests and was finally spotted by idol agency JYP Entertainment. On September 15, 2010, she secretly attended JYP Entertainment’s 7th open audition, after which she became a trainee. In 2013, she was finally cast as a member of 6mix, a JYP girl group that was planned but never debuted.

Instead of disappointing, she made an appearance in the second episode of KBS2’s 2012 Korean drama Dream High 2. Later on, in 2015, when she participated in the reality television show Sixteen, a competition designed to choose the founding members of Twice, She was finally selected as one of the nine successful participants, alongside teammates Jihyo, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu. In October 2015, Nayeon officially debuted as a member of Twice with their first extended play, The Story Begins. 

In terms of her personal life, she is currently 26 years old and unmarried. Moreover, she was also ranked as the eighth most popular female K-pop idol in a survey of soldiers doing mandatory military service in South Korea in 2019.
