He made his first launch as a member of BTS on June 13, 2013. In 2018, he was given the fifth-class Hwagwan Order of Cultural Merit by the President of South Korea and the group’s other members. His most liked tweet in the world for 2018 was when he posted the “In My Feelings Challenge.” But before all these days of glory, the early days of his were fraught with difficulties.

Every day J-Hope woke up praying that today would be the day that things would finally turn around for him, but then only to be greeted with yet another complication on the journey to his musical debut. Big Hit was a small firm with limited resources and often struggled with finances. Before BTS even debuted, the cutthroat entertainment industry was already dismissive of its concepts and music.

As a result, the pressure continued to mount as J-Hope knew that their dreams might end before they even began. Seeing how much his other teammates struggled and knowing that they only had one shot at fulfilling their dreams, he decided to step up as the “dance leader” of the team. To reach their goals, he actively motivated and cheered on his team. J-Hope took it upon me to push BTS towards its ultimate goals. The grueling sessions wreaked havoc on his body. He sustained several injuries and, on occasions, even collapsed in practices. Even so, he continued to be relentlessly optimistic and supportive of his teammates.

Thankfully, all their efforts and hard work paid off. Their debut was a significant success. J-Hope continued serving as the dance leader of BTS and helped lead the team to several world records. Even with all the success they’ve had, he continues to see himself as the same person he was before they debuted and is intent on helping to lead BTS to even brighter and greater things in the future.

It’s not even an exquisite type of peace that he is trying to provide, just a tiny shard of peace for someone, somewhere in the world, that desperately needs and deserves their support.
