Oggy and the Cockroaches Characters:
Oggy is a cat with a light blue body, green eyes, grey tummy, and white feet. Oggy usually spends his time either watching TV or doing housework — when not chasing the cockroaches. Despite the constant mayhem caused by the cockroaches, Oggy has developed a sort of love-hate relationship with them, having lived with them for a long time. In the episode “The Ghost Hunter”, Oggy kills the cockroaches but is terrorized by the spirits. Whenever he finds himself alone in his house, he will eventually begin to miss the cockroaches along with their pranks (as seen in the episode “Priceless Roaches” and “So Lonely”) followed by nothing interesting happening in his life. Oggy’s house appears bigger on the inside, mainly featured in the roller coaster-like staircase scenes. According to executive producer Marc du Pontavice and France Info, the character of Oggy was named after punk rock musician Iggy Pop and the rock album.
The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars. In early episodes, Oggy, like his Tom and Jerry counterpart was the main punching bag in the series. However, in more recent episodes, Oggy has been portrayed as heroic, often triumphing over the cockroaches despite the beatings he takes from them and Bob. Notable other accomplishments include winning Formula 1, placing first in a marathon, and ultimately winning over his girlfriend Olivia.
The cockroaches are three brothers who antagonize other characters, mainly oggy and JackThe cockroaches love pranking them so much, that if the cats were to leave, they would miss them (as seen in the episode “Moving Out”). It is also implied that the roaches are named after members of the rock band.Joey – Joey (born 15 June 1991) is a purple-pink body, purple-blue head roach with a pink right eye (originally red) and yellow left eye, and the oldest brother. Even though he’s the smallest roach in the group, most of the time he’s the most intelligent, always being the brain in the plans, but is sometimes forced to go solo, because his brothers often think that his plans are stupid. He loves money, but his efforts always fall short, usually ending with him getting swatted or beaten up. He is named after lead singer Joey Ramone.Oggy holds an intense grudge against Dee Dee, Marky, and Joey, which goes back to even when he was a baby (revealed in the episode “It’s a Small World” and “Itsy-Bitsy Oggy). Throughout the course of the series,
Oggy has chased the insect trio innumerable times. While he has lost and fell victim to the cockroaches in quite a few episodes, he can reign victorious and defeats them (especially in later seasons). Occasionally, however, Oggy is forced to work together with them, especially when Jack is played out as the antagonist, he pleads to Jack to spare their lives and in “Lost in Space”, “Space Journey” he decides to rescue the Cockroaches from suffocating in space despite being a constant nuisance to him. In short, Oggy has a peculiar love/hate relationship with the cockroaches. In fact, he has also learned that without them, his life would be very boring, this is proved in episode So Lonely and Alone at Last, where he gets rid of the roaches, but later he regrets them and realizes that his life isn’t the same without them.
Marky is a suave heartbreaking, silvery-grey body, green head roach with pink eyes (originally red, but returned in the ending of the episode “Teleportation” where he is stuck in the ice cubes); he is the tallest and middle brother of the three roaches and often doesn’t really care about what the two others are doing.
While he originally used to love causing mischief just like his brothers, he has grown to be more laid-back in later episodes, though he still enjoys hanging out with Joey and Dee Dee and causing general mayhem like he has always done. His hobbies are dating puppets and reading books. He also has bad breath, as revealed in the season 1 and season 6 episode “It’s A Small World”. He is named after drummer Marky Ramone.
Dee Dee is the ever-hungry cockroach and youngest of the three. He has a blue body, orange head and green eyes. His appetite sometimes reaches insane proportions, often resulting in the consumption of larger animals or other things that would otherwise be inedible (such as hyenas in one case and, due to the effects of a poisonous mushroom in another case, an insect. Other instances include the fish on the wallpaper “Oggy’s Clone”,” and a clownfish in “Scuba Diving”). He is known to like opera. Sometimes it is shown that his feet are so foul-smelling, the juice they produce is toxic and melt objects, as shown in “Caught in a Trap”.
Jack is Oggy’s cousin, He is a cat who has an olive green body, yellow eyes, pale Salmon pink tummy and white feet, in the show. He is like the complete opposite of Oggy, as he is more short-tempered, violent and arrogant than him – a perfect target for the roaches to annoy.
He often finds himself building huge machinery, such as roach-catching contraptions, most of the time resulting in them backfiring, making him less lucky than Oggy in most situations. He is also very interested in chemistry (that is, the more explosive parts of it). Jack mostly lives and sleeps over at Oggy’s house with Oggy. At times, he bullies Oggy. Jack seems to be the strongest character in the show. He likes to show off, challenge the roaches and date girls – mainly Oggy’s sister Monica. He is sometimes seen trying to propose to Monica, but the cockroaches’ pranks always make him stop short. In one episode – “Don’t Rock The Cradle”/”Oggy The Babysitter”,
they seem to have a baby together and ask Oggy to babysit their child. Jack also has a morbid fear of heights, as shown in several episodes like the season 4 episode “The Lighthouse Keeper”. However, in the season 1 episode “The Rise & The Fall” Oggy has a fear of heights instead of Jack
Bob is a fierce brown bulldog and Oggy’s neighbor. He has severe anger management issues. A running gag in the show has Oggy or Jack doing something that accidentally crushes Bob or shaves his fur or destroys his house, with Bob then pummeling Oggy or Jack off-screen. He does not always pummel Oggy, as seen in a few episodes. He has some sort of friendship with them, as notably seen in “Olivia” and “Back to the Past!”. He is known to like boxing. The next door neighbor with anger management issues.
He is an enemy of Oggy in many episodes. Every time Oggy destroys something that Bob owns he is almost always gets beaten/punched/kicked by Bob. However, on occasion, Bob will treat Oggy more like a friend. In “To Serve and Protect” Bob acts more friendly and even has respect to Oggy once he thinks that he’d make a good police officer. In “Steamed Out!” Bob actively wants to hang out with Oggy and Jack and tries to help them lose weight.
Oggy’s grandma is a very rarely seen character only appearing in three episodes; “Granny’s Day” in season 1 and “Oggy’s Grandma” in season 3, where she appears to be very strict with Oggy’s mannerisms and in “Deep Trouble” beside Monica, as they support Oggy and Jack. In the episodes Granny’s Day and Oggy’s Grandma, she attacks the cockroaches, and is actually attacked by them in Oggy’s Grandma, one time being her head flattened by the lid of Oggy’s toilet. She also gets frequent, short lasting bursts of energy from coffee, which aids her in defeating the cockroaches. In Granny’s Day, she captures Joey and Marky, but feels sympathy for them, when Dee Dee cries on a picture of them with Joey and Marky crossed out. She is the least seen member of Oggy’s family except for Oggy’s parents, who were seen in a picture in “Oggy’s Grandma”. Oggy’s grandma is the only female character to appear on the show to intentionally want to kill/defeat the cockroaches.
Monica is Oggy’s twin sister and Jack’s love-interest. In one episode “”Oggy The Babysitter”/”Don’t Rock The Cradle”, they seem to have a child together. She visits Oggy’s house every now and then. She is well known for being very active and likes to take on physical challenges such as sky diving and bungee jumping. She’s always seen skating around on her inline skates.
Out of all the characters, she has the least number of appearances; even fewer than Bob. Monica has rarely appeared onscreen with the cockroaches or Bob (until her cameo only with Bob at the end of the 4th-season finale episode “Oggy is Getting Married! (Featuring Olivia)”). After Season 2, she’s only appeared in two other episodes, them being “Deep Trouble”. In a Season 3 episode, she’s instead seen wearing a magenta skirt and shoes instead of her rollerskates. This also marks her first appearance without them since her latest appearance in the season 2 episode “Don’t Rock The Cradle”. This also marks her first appearance without her baby in a later episode who, as mentioned before, also originated from that episode. The second and latest appearance after season 2 was the season 4 finale “Oggy Is Getting Married (Featuring Olivia)”, where she makes a brief appearance at Oggy and Olivia’s wedding as she sits next to Bob. It is unknown, but it is easier to assume she split up with Jack, as their child has never been seen again, that they’ve never been seen together or have been talking since season 2 and that during that same episode, Jack is staring/ogling at his new partner. She soon became friends with Olivia as in episode of Season 7, “Sharing Oggy”.
Olivia is a white cat (also mainly wearing a yellow bow on her head), who is Oggy’s new neighbour and new love interest introduced in season 4. She loves nature, even Oggy’s main enemies, the cockroaches, leading to Oggy acting nice to them every time she’s around. She is aware of their mischief, so she does stop them when they are around by using some aggressive methods, from her anger to even a painful-looking fly swatter. She always breaks down when someone hurts any part of nature. She also cares a lot about her looks, as seen in the episode “Olivia’s Pimple”, where when she saw a pimple on her face, she refused to leave her house. In the season 4 finale episode “Oggy Is Getting Married (Featuring Olivia)”, as the episode title implies, Olivia and Oggy get married after a trip to Venice, Italy. The new girl next door neighbor.
He falls in love with Olivia. in the episode “Olivia”, he saved Olivia’s life, making Jack and Bob jealous of him. She is a white cat. He is mostly nervous when he is with her, while Olivia doesn’t feel nervous about the two liking each other and have feelings for each other. But, after a few episodes in Season 4, he doesn’t seem to feel as nervous as before. In “Oggy Is Getting Married!”, both Oggy and Olivia are married together. In almost every episode where they appear together, she kisses him on the cheek. Occasionally, they end up kissing each other on the lips.
Lady K is a light yellow female cockroach introduced in the season 4 episode “Lady K”, and the roaches’ new love interest (mainly Joey). She’s the cockroach that lives in Olivia’s house, by which Olivia is not aware of. She hates Olivia. She use the cockroaches as her pawns to get what she wants or to get her job done.
Pit is another silver coloured dog , appears in season 4 living in same area. He is also strong like Bob and comes in less episodes.
Bobette is the daughter of Bob who is introduced in Season 5. She is Jack’s love interest, as seen in the episodes, ” Marky’s Tournament”, and “Jackromeo and Bobette”. She is seen in the episode, “Emperor for a Day” as Napoleon’s love interest.
He is a human policeman who wears a blue dress and a hat of police who catches and arrests the criminals. He was often seen on traffic roads or sometimes in Oggy’s area. Sometimes Oggy or Jack accidentally annoyed him (due to cockroaches) and he beat or arrest them for the crime. He appears in all seasons, except season 5.
He is a human doctor who often goes to Oggy’s house when Oggy gets sick. In the episode “A Cute Little Puppy”, it is shown that he has a puppy dog. He does not appear in season 5.

Millions of years ago, when the world was made there was a village with lots of cats. In the meantime, Oggy Magnon was playing a flute and a drum when suddenly, he saw fire in the hands of the village chief. He was afraid of fire due to this: When he was young and a storm struck out burning a tree, he got burned, causing him to cry. Back to the story, the roaches started taking the fire, but Joey sneezed. The Village chief thought Oggy was the culprit and was really angry at him. Jack came along to the volcano. In the meantime, Magnon looked at a flower. It almost bit him, but DeeDee ate it all up. Even on the way, Oggy was just taking a bath in a pool until a swarm of piranhas attacked him. When they reached the walls, they chose who had to go by playing a game. Oggy “lost” against Jack, so he had to go restore the fire. But the cockroaches messed everything up, making themselves and the Magnon fall. Inside the volcano was a jungle that has a dog named Bob and his servants. The servants tied the cat up, bringing it to Bob. Olivia saved Oggy in time. Then it was no one but him and Olivia. When she greeted him, Oggy let out a cry as if he were in trouble, and then he was unconscious. When he woke up, he found out that he was in Olivia’s flowerhouse, her hideout from the trollish enemies. She had also put leaves to recover Oggy’s feet. In that time, Olivia left him for a few minutes to something, then he fell fast asleep. He dreamt about Olivia for a few moments and then he woke up. The roaches were the only reason to wake him up, so he tried to hit them until Olivia returned. He threw his weapon away. The scene was switched to the two cats walking.
Oggy saw a flower which once bit him. Olivia told Oggy it was harmless when he was afraid of the flower. When the two were looking at the beautiful sunset, making it evident they both fell in love with each other, as when they were looking the sunset, they entwined their tails. In the meantime, Jack had also found the two which then resulted in a major problem for these guys. The cockroaches had told Bob that they have been to Olivia’s flowerhouse and they know the location. For this, they kidnapped Jack and Olivia. Meanwhile, Oggy was out to occupy himself. When he found out that the two were missing, he cried, then started finding them. Olivia told Oggy Magnon that the only way to free them is to use fire. But he told the female cat that he was afraid of fire. So she raised the stakes. If he would save the two using fire, he would be the hero of her life. Oggy starts daydreaming of what would happen if he had saved her and he accepted the deal, going back to the village . So Oggy Magnon found those stones and built the fire. He had saved Jack and Olivia. When the two males were escaping, the female refused to come. Then Oggy told Olivia that her flowerhouse was burned down to ashes, so she decided to come with them. Back at the village, Joey was the chief for a few minutes until he sneezed again and he, Marky and Dee Dee are chased by the tribe, The chief said that how would they get fire again. Oggy had just the thing: the rocks. He used them to recover the village’s fire. At this cost, the young Oggy Magnon became the next chief of the village.
The next story takes place in 1350, on a kingdom that was looking good as they reveal a new statue of Oggy I who vanish the Cockroach king. Trumpets were being blown as the king had handed down his sword to his prince named Oggy II. but after the sword was broken by an accident, the prince never met someone who could actually be capable of becoming a princess. The King (Prince Oggy’s father) said him to ride a horse, fight a dragon, and raid the enemy’s kingdom. But the prince replied negatively about those things. He said he would fail doing all that stuff. When the princess audition started, no lady became the next princess. The prince and the commander in chief, Jack, came alongside with him. If they would hunt animals they would get money.
But they did not know that there was someone living in this forest. Prince Oggy wanted to take the butterfly. Jack was hunting for dangerous animals for a big loot. A shadow-like appeared, disappearing the wild boar and the second animal. The third animal was almost gotten when a person kicked Jack. When they were fighting it was revealed that the guardian was Olivia. She called the animals to punish Jack, but the prince had finally found a perfect match! But she was not happy because the young prince had captured the butterfly he was trying to capture. Then he let the butterfly go. She then became happy of what Oggy did. Olivia told the prince that he would be a nicer man if he had carried her to her own house. And so he did. More animals punished Jack, but Oggy liked the place. Olivia gave the prince a piece of cloth so he would not forget her. When he came back to the castle he told his father and his mother that he had finally found a perfect match! The King and the Queen were very happy on his son. That he had found Olivia as the match. But something was not right. Black Knight Joey (the son of the Cockroach King) and his companions, Dee Dee and Marky, had devastated an evil plan to take over the kingdom. Olivia was captured and it was up to Oggy and Jack to save her once and for all. Oggy and Jack got in and rescued Olivia. When the prince and Olivia met again, they were going round and round. Using the curtain ropes was a brilliant idea to get out, but the cockroaches exploded the bridge to the castle and outside. Then the guardian called the birds to carry them to the other side. They were almost pronounced prince and princess when Oggy had to fight Joey again. But the prince won, and they lived happily ever after, except for the evil cockroaches, who were locked up in a cage on Bob’s collar.
The Incredible Oggy Watson
In December, 1899, at London, Olivia closed her clock shop when the Cockroaches plan to steal something inside the shop. The Cockroaches get inside, steal a golden key and give it to Joey, who is the Cockroaches leader.
Meanwhile, at Baker Street, Master Detective Jack Holmes and his easily amazed assistant Dr. Oggy Watson are in a house. Oggy is cooking and Jack is reading a newspaper contain the news that say about a new bomb that places in the Tower of London, which is a prison at the time, and has a security secure the bomb every time with a maximum level. Oggy falls in love with Olivia so he agrees to find it. They investigate in her shop before Detective Bob and the police come to the scene and send Jack out of the shop for being aggressive to Bob. Meanwhile, the Cockroaches are planning for something badly. Joey writes something on the map and send it with a golden key to their members for sending to the detectives. Back at Jack and Oggy, they find clues; the thieves are the Cockroaches. Then they got a map and a golden key. The map contains a location of one of the cockroaches who’s in the Cat’s Fish restaurant. So Jack and Oggy start to find that restaurant. When they arrive at Carnaby Street, they find the Cat’s Fish restaurant. They enter the restaurant and find a cockroach sitting. The cockroach and the detectives chatting and becoming friendly each other. The cockroach tells the detectives that the thieves’ base is located inside the Nelson’s Column at the Trafalgar Square. Then the cockroach secretly swaps the golden key and Jack’s yo-yo. The next day, at the Trafalgar square, the detectives and the police arrive. They find a channel under the ground that leads to the unknown room inside the column that probably the thieves’ base. They enter the room and find the Cockroaches. Oggy ask for the golden key, but the Cockroaches don’t know. Bob arrest them all. Jack and Oggy are happy. At the Tower of London, the Cockroaches secretly find the bomb and steal it to their member for cringing to the Big Ben. The next day, Bob and the police come to the scene. The police find Jack’s yo-yo. Then, they go to the detectives’ house and arrive while Jack is playing a violin. Bob shows the yo-yo, but Jack tells that the yo-yo is not his. So he finds his yo-yo but get a golden key instead. Bob and the police arrest Jack for having the golden key. Bob gives the golden key to Olivia, while Jack yells that he’s framed. Jack is thrown into the jail of the Tower of London while the Cockroaches are set free by Bob and the police. At the detectives’ house, Oggy is crying, while Olivia gets a newspaper, give it to Oggy. Oggy finds out that the cockroach he and Jack talked before at the Cat’s Fish restaurant are the Cockroaches’ ally. Oggy is angry so he and Olivia plan to make Jack’s jailbreak with Olivia’s helicopter at night. They fly to the Tower of London. Jack makes the jailbreak and try to escape on the helicopter. Bob and the police pursuit them, shooting at the suspects’ helicopter. The pursuit heads to the Tower Bridge. Olivia throws her spike watches into the road, making the crash. Oggy, Jack and Olivia escape but their helicopter crashes at the sheep farm. They find out that the countdown at the Big Ben for the 20th century is coming up. Oggy tells that the Big Ben, the bomb, the golden key and the Cockroaches are connected, but Olivia has the key. She takes the key out, but the sheep eats it. Jack confuses so he also eats it, finding out that it made from the chocolate. Instantly knowing that it is a chocolate key, they scream out loud, knowing that the Cockroaches’ plan is to blow up the Big Ben while Queen Victoria gives a speech under it. So they hurry to London nearly before the 20th century countdown. When they arrive at the Big Ben, the Cockroaches activate the bomb to explode when the clock dial reaches 0:00 a.m. Oggy and Jack start chasing the Cockroaches while Olivia is trying to deactivate the bomb before it explode. Behind the cheering crowds, happy Bob, the police and the queen, Jack, Oggy and Olivia’s tension are higher when the time is going out. The Cockroaches escape on a blimp. Less seconds left, Olivia still can’t deactivate the bomb. Oggy, Jack and Olivia know that it’s over, and have to wait for the death. But 1 second left, the clock dial stuck because Jack stop the mechanism. The crowd stop cheering, counting down and confuse, even the queen, while the detectives and Olivia have a hope to deactivate the bomb. Olivia finally deactivates it and the clock dial starts working because Jack can’t stop anymore and it reaches 0:00 a.m. The crowd is cheering and happy and a lot of fireworks are fired into the sky over the Westminster Palace After the mission is completed, Olivia kisses Oggy. Joey is angry that his plan is failed. Then other cockroaches bring a rocket firework, but it explodes over the blimp they escape. Cheers for Oggy, Jack and Olivia, also Bob and the police until the clock was broken and almost hurt the queen. The police chased Oggy and Jack as the 20th century has already arrived with a big bang.
During the Star Wars era, Oggy-Wan-Kenoggy has to stop Bob Vader from destroying a whole planet. He gets on the Bob Star and duels with the Cockroaches, after which Oggy and the Cockroaches hold onto the floor to avoid falling into the laser barrel. The Cockroaches call Bob for help but instead he switches the laser on causing their bodies to be apart and was about to destroy the planet. But, luckily, Jack Solo has reflected the laser back which destroyed Bob Vader’s ship instead. Meanwhile, the remaining pieces of Oggy have been sent to the planet that Bob wants to destroy and was back to the same form from the beginning of the film. The form chased the three forms (who were the Cockroaches) and starts to evolve back to their original form which starts the whole thing all over again.
