Nobita was such a loser in life that his descendants in the 22nd century are still paying off all of the debts he accumulated in his life.
Ashamed to have such a loser ancestor, Nobita’s great-great-grandson Sewashi Nobi comes up with the idea to send his robot cat Doraemon back in time to look after Nobita when he was a boy. Sewashi hopes that if Doraemon encourages Nobita to stand up for himself and do better in school, history will change and his future descendants’ lives will improve.

Nobita Nobi (野比 のび太) –
Nobita Nobi is a kind-hearted 10-year-old boy in the Doraemon manga series. The Nobita Nobiu is the best friend of Doramon, and Doramon comes from the future to give aid to the Nobita Nobi, who is always in trouble because of his friends. Nobita is voiced by Yoshiko Ota in the 1973 series, Noriko Ohara from 1979–March 2005, and Megumi Ohara from April 2005 onwards. Nobita’s signature colour is yellow, and he is usually represented by the colour.
Nobita Nobi is a short-sighted boy with fair skin who always wear a yellow shirt and navy blue shorts, he has black hair and eyes with big round glasses.
Nobita Nobi Personality –
The character Nobita is defined in the first series of Manga as a lazy and sleepy boy who is always late to school and is very lazy and bad at sports; as a result of these factors, Nobita is very dependent on the Doraemon and begs for multiple gadgets from the Doreamon in order to impress Sizuka and defeat Jiyan and Suniyo.
While his laziness is an issue, he slacks around in school. He regularly arrives late, is tardy with homework, and gets 0% on both exams and tests. The Classroom Teacher usually punishes him for this with after-school detentions or making him stand by the classroom door for long periods of time. His refusal, procrastination, and dislike of studying while at home put him back from excelling even further. His mother is constantly disappointed and angry with his lackluster performance.
He later tries to hide his poor scores, which has proven unsuccessful. He also doesn’t like to study, which only further hinders his performance in school. Nobita is not very athletic either, much to Gian’s frustration. He is terrible at baseball and many other sports, often letting down Gian’s baseball team.

Despite Nobita’s flawed personality, he is a good person that is a rather likable character with a couple of positive traits. He is good-hearted and generous to others as well. He is known to take pity on stray animals and is kind to most people in need of help, sometimes even Gian and Suneo Honekawa, who bully him often. Nobita’s best trait is his great creativity. His thoughts from out of the box lead to new and bizarre ideas of ways to use Doraemon’s high-tech devices.
An example of this is the new sport of free flying with the use of Doraemon’s “power of wind” fans (fans that can create a gust of wind with just a gentle swish) and how he used the voice hardener, a device considered useless to Doraemon, for transportation. Another example of his creativity was when he was provided with an imagination pill to make him think that he was in a swimming pool while being taught how to swim.
Unfortunately, he imagined a preschool pool at which he accidentally stepped on a child’s foot. In one of his dreams, he, as a genius, successfully produced a rocket to Mars in his bedroom. Both events show Nobita’s amazing talent at thinking outside the box. Nobita’s creativity is proof enough of his high intelligence, Unlike Dekisugi Hidetoshi, he lags behind in showing it.
Shizuka Minamoto (, Minamoto Shizuka, English dub: Sue Morris) (born on May 8, Taurus), nicknamed Shizuka-chan (), is a smart, kind, and pretty girl. Shizuka () is a Japanese word that means “quiet.” She is Nobita’s best friend, and he has a crush on her. She always helps Nobita through his difficult time of studies and problems. Shizuka likes to spend time with Nobuta. In many series, it is shown that Shizuka is good at making cookies and pastries, so she always invites Nobita to taste some cookies and food made by him. Her true loves are sweet potatoes, which she prefers to keep to herself and away from the prying eyes of others, and the violin, which she plays even worse than Gian.
She is also known for taking piano lessons unwillingly due to her mother’s wishes (as she loves violin more), which is sometimes a reason for declining to hang out with friends (but she plays piano better than violin). Shizuka is an animal lover and keeps two pets at home: a dog, who is saved from succumbing to illness by Nobita and Doraemon in one story, and a canary, which has run away on multiple occasions, causing Shizuka and Nobita to run around the city chasing her down.
Due to Nob ita’s heartiest effort and Doraemon’s assistance, Shizuka marries Nobita in the future. At present, she does not have any particular crush (but Shizuka secretly loves Nobita very much). Sometimes she fancies some handsome idols on TV. Besides Nobita, Shizuka is also close to her classmate and popular student Dekisugi which makes Nobita jealous. Though they consider each other only as friends, Nobita often tries to prevent them from going together.
Shizuka Minamoto is a sweet and pretty girl in the Doraemon series and Episodes she usually wears a light pink dress in all his episodes and movies. She is slim and has a light body color black eyes and her hair is usually black in color not only this in their 19ths episodes shizuka has dark chocolate color hair but with respect to time and changes in the character the shizuka hair color turns into dark black.
Shizuka is really very sweet in general. She doesn’t go against the rules. Shizuka stays within her limits during conversations etc. She is really calm, decent and a shy person. She doesn’t annoy or bully anyone. She likes pet animals and birds as well. Shizuka shows much affection for her pets and animals in general. Shizuka is also very polite and good with her nature and feelings she always helps the person in need, She is a simple and polite girl who loves to play with her Dolls a lot. She is also been known for her piano lesson in which she performs very well.
She has a very good relationship with her parents and neighbours and relatives and with her friends. She always cares for all of her friends and family.
Takeshi Goda (Gian)
Takeshi Goda (, Gda Takeshi) (born on June 15, Gemini) is usually known by the nickname “Gian” (, “Jaian”, English: Big G) and is one of the main characters. He is the most strung-out boy in the school and friend circle. But whatever he is, he is a very kindhearted person who sometimes helps the person in need and not only this, he also has some Suneio and Nobita from the university students. Gian is a good guy and adores his dog Muku, but they are also good friends.
His favorite food is stuffed cauliflower. He also frequently steals other children’s toys and manga books under the pretext of “borrowing” them, unless the toy is damaged. This is why many fans considered Gian to be the antagonist of the series. However, he does not hesitate to help Nobita and his friends when they are in real trouble, which often occurs in the movies.
Gian / Takeshi Goda has a big personality, both physically and psychologically. He enjoys singing songs and wants everyone to come to his ground concert, but everyone dislikes Gian songs and tries not to come, but he always invites all the children to the concert, and everyone has to come to listen to Gian songs and cheer up because of Gian terror. In some episodes, Gian listened to her recorded voice and denied that this is her voice, and not only the children who try to convey that he can’t sing well are beaten by him.
Takeshi Goda (Gian) Relationship
In many episodes, Gian’s relationship with Nobita and Doraemon is very good because Doraemon has helped in many ways, and Gian has a great relationship with Sunio, who pretends to be Gian’s best friend. Not
Gian has a good relationship with his family, despite the fact that his mother is frequently shown to be angry in many episodes. Whenever she catches Gian shirking off his responsibilities of watching over the store and/or bullying innocent children, including Nobita, she will severely and physically punish Gian for his wrongdoings and misdemeanors. His mother is basically the only person that Gian is genuinely terrified of. Even hearing her voice would be enough to scare him and make him run away in cowardice.
Apart from his father and mother (whom he fears the most), Gian also has a younger sister called Jaiko. He is extremely protective of Jaiko, sometimes to her annoyance. Jaiko has an interest in writing comic books, so Gian helps her using Doraemon’s gadgets, which frustrates her sometimes. Also, no matter what Nobita says about Jaiko like how he either likes or dislikes her, Gian would beat up Nobita anyways. Sometimes, however, she is grateful for the help that Gian lends from Doraemon.
Suneo Honekawa (also known as Sneech in the UK and US dubs) is a main character in the Doraemon franchise. A lot of the stories start with Suneo showing off some new video game, toy, or pet, which evokes Nobita’s envy. He is often seen with Gian, teasing Nobita. He sometimes despises Nobita and often makes fun of him, most often resulting in Nobita getting into trouble. He also often pushes Nobita aside with silly excuses while he invites Gian and Shizuka to his parties or resorts. \
However, he is actually one of Nobita’s closest friends, and he would often ask for his and Doraemon’s help. In the films, Suneo is often the one most reluctant to take part in Nobita and Doraemon’s adventures, and he also tries to face as little trouble as possible and go home unless others convince him, making him somewhat of a coward. He has an extensive knowledge of science and is a talented artist and designer, besides being extremely cunning.
He gets around ¥5000 (US$40, £25.65) in monthly pocket money and buys cool toys and comic books, but he never lets Nobita touch his comics and cool toys, which provokes his anger and jealousy. He usually hangs out with Gian to think he is the coolest kid in the world like Gian and often bullies irritates and/or beats up Nobita with Gian. Sometimes, he lies to Gian in order to please him and avoid falling victim to his beatings. He is also a member of the Giants baseball team. He is not very good in baseball, but he occasionally scores home runs.
In some scenes, Suneo is seen as a narcissist who loves to stare at himself in the mirror while telling himself that he is the most handsome guy in the world. His habit of bragging often lands him into trouble. Suneo is also very self-conscious about his height, being the shortest kid in his class. He likes steak and melon. There are many reasons why Suneo chooses Shizuka and Gian, except Nobita. It is because he tries to win Shizuka’s favour and not to get harmed by Gian.
Suneo’s personality is described as cunning, prideful, cocky, arrogant, and narcissistic, as he always brags about unusual (and expensive) stuff including toys, comics, etc, he often brags about his dad’s position as a president director of a company and holds a deep respect towards him (he wants to be the successor of the company). His highest and most “easy-to-see” personality is narcissism, in which often he likes to look in the mirror and talk about how handsome he is (like the queen in Snow White). Some of the stories start with Suneo showing off some new video game or toy which evokes Nobita’s envy and irritation. He has extensive knowledge of science and is a talented artist and designer
