Sobhita Dhulipala is an Indian actress and model who is known for acting in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam films. She was born on 31st May 1992 in Tenali, Andhra Pradesh, India to Venugopal Rao and Santha Kamakshi. Her father is a Merchant Navy engineer and her mother is a primary school teacher. She completed her studies at H.R. College of Commerce and Economics.
Sobhita started her career with modelling and participated in the Navy Queen Ball pageant in 2010. In 2013, Sobhita participated and won the Femina Miss India South 2013 title, a zonal pageant of Femina Miss India. She also became the first runner-up of the 50th year of the Femina Miss India. She was also awarded Miss Stylish Hair, Miss Adventurous and Miss Fashion Icon, Miss Talent, and Miss Digital Diva. She also represented India at Miss Earth 2013.
Sobhita made her film debut with the Hindi film Raman Raghav 2.0. For her performance in the film, she was nominated by critics for best-supporting performance by the Director’s Fortnight at the Cannes Film festival 2016.
Chef was her only released film of 2017.
In 2018, she made her Telugu film debut with Goodachari. Kaalakaandi was her other released Hindi film of the year.
