Raj Zutshi is an Indian film and television actor. His real name is Rajendranath Zutshi. He was born on 4 February 1961, in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, India. He is best known for playing the role of Ismail in the film Lagaan: Once Upon a Time in India. He started his acting career as a theatre artist. He made his Bollywood debut in 1984 with the film Holi, in which he played the role of Rajendra Zutshi. He was also seen in the TV series Yugantar in 1990. He has appeared in many popular films like Ankush, Goonj, Chachi 420, Dillagi, One 2 Ka 4, Murder, Sandwich, Naqaab, Gangoobai and Brothers. He has also worked in television serials like Ek Tha Rusty (1995), Grihalakshmi Ka Jinn (1996),  Mrityunjay (1996), Rishtey (1998), Dead End (2000), Nazrana (2002), Home Comforts (2008) and Madhubala (2012). In 2019, he played the role of Sanjay Oberoi in the short film Just Take it easy. In the same year, he played the role of Dr. Rao in Zee5’s web series Bhram.
