An Indian playback singer, actor, music composer, producer, stage performer, and media personality, Pawan Singh was born on January 5, 1986, in Arrah, Bihar. He was born in a Rajpur family in the Jokahri village.
He learned singing from his uncle Ajit Singh following which he started singing and doing stage shows in his childhood days. Later, he started by working on Bhojpuri-language pop albums as a vocalist. His first album was Odhaniya Wali which was released in 1997.
In the year 2004, he made his acting debut with the film Rangli Chunariya Tohre Naam. However, it was in the year 2008, when he released the album and song, Lollypop Lagelu and further rose to fame in the industry. The song became a big hit and he was also awarded the Best Male Singer at the International Bhojpuri Film Awards in 2016.
The year 2009 was a major breakthrough for Pawan Singh as he worked on a series of films that year. With films like “Saiya Ke Sath Madaiya Mai”, Jogiji Dhire Dhire”, “Tu Jaan Has Hau Hammar”, and “Umariya Kaili Tohre Naam”, “Pyar Bina Chain Kaha”, etc., he rose to prominence.
After becoming a popular face in the Bhojpuri film industry, Singh made his debut in Bollywood with the song “Kamariya Hila Rahi Hai” featuring American dancer and actress Lauren Gottlieb. Following this, his second work in Bollywood was the song “Babuni Were Rang Me” featuring Trisha Choudhury followed by Current featuring Payal Dev.
In the year 2021, he sang a Chhath song with Sonu Nigam and also released a Bhojpuri cover version of some popular Bollywood songs like Lut Gaye which was originally sung by Jubin Nautiyal and Barish Ban Jana. After the cover versions, he also remade the famous Hindi song, Tumsa Koi Pyara from the 1994 film, Raja Babu.
Pawan Singh has also received two International Bhojpuri Film Awards.
Speaking about his personal life, Singh got married to Neelam Singh in 2014 in a private ceremony that was attended only by his family, friends, relatives, and some big names from the Bhojpuri film industry. However, soon after their marriage, Neelam committed suicide at their home in March 2015.
In the year 2018, Pawan got married to Jyoti Singh in a private ceremony in Ballia which was again attended by just family members and close aides.
