She is the daughter of actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita, and the younger sister of Karisma Kapoor. She is of Punjabi Hindu descent on her father’s side, and on her mother’s side she is of Sindhi Hindu and British descent. She is the recipient of several awards, including six Filmfare Awards. She is one of Bollywood’s most popular and highest-paid actresses. She is married to actor Saif Ali Khan, with whom she has two sons named Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan.
