Huma Saleem Qureshi is an Indian actress and model who is known for acting in Hindi films. She was born on 28th July 1986 in New Delhi, India to Saleem and Ameena Qureshi. Her father is a restauranteur who runs a chain of 10 restaurants. She has three brothers. She completed her B. A. In History from Gargi College. During her college days, she worked as a theatre actor and model. 

Huma has signed a two-year contract with Hindustan Unilever to appear in their television commercials.

Huma made her film debut with the 2012 film Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 1. For her performance, Huma received positive reviews from critics. In that year she also appeared in the second part of the film, Gangs of Wasseypur – Part 2. Again, she nailed it, and her role was critically acclaimed. She won two awards for the film and several nominations. Huma described Gangs of Wasseypur as a “life-changing film”.

In 2012, She appeared in the film Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana. In that year, she appeared in a song for the film Trishna.

In 2013, Huma acted in three films, Ek Thi Daayan, Shorts and D-Day. Her performance in three films was critically acclaimed. She won the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles Special Mention award for Shorts.

She had only been released in 2014. The film was Dedh Ishqiya. Again her performance received favorable reviews.

In 2015, Huma was seen in the film Badlapur. Her role was praised which helped her to earn several positive reviews. She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress at Filmfare Awards. In that year, she also made her Marathi debut with the film, Highway. She also appeared in the film, X: Past Is Present.

In 2016, she made her Malayalam debut with the film White.

In 2017, she appeared in three films and a short film. The films were, Jolly LLB 2, Viceroy’s House and Dobaara: See Your Evil and Ek Dopahar. Her performance in all the films received mixed reviews.

She made her Tamil debut with the film Kaala in 2018. 

In 2020, she appeared in a  cameo appearance in the film, Ghoomketu. 

She made her Hollywood debut in the 2021 Hollywood film, Army of the Dead. In that year, she also appeared in the film Bell Bottom.

She appeared in her second Tamil film, Valimai in 2022. In that year, she made a special appearance in a song in the film, Gangubai Kathiawadi.

She has three upcoming projects, Monica, O My Darling, Double XL and Tarla.

She made her television debut with the television serial, Upanishada Ganga in 2012. She appeared as a judge in the television reality show, India’s Best Dramebaaz in 2018. In 2021, she hosted a television reality show, Fit Fab Feast.

She made her web series debut with Leila in 2019. Maharani was her second web series, which was released in 2021. Mithya was her third web series, released in 2022.

She is also seen in two music videos.

In 2013, Huma hosted the 60th National Film Awards with R. Madhavan.
