Esha Deol Takhtani is an Indian actress and model who is known for acting in Hindi films. She was born on 2nd November 1981 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India to Dharmendra and Hema Malini. Her father is an actor and her mother is an actress-politician. She has a sister, Ahana. She has two half-brothers, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol. She is the first cousin of Abhay Deol. She completed her schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School. She represented her college in handball at the state level and was also selected for the Indian national women’s football team. Later, she was admitted to Oxford University and obtained a master’s degree in Media Arts and Computer Technology.
Esha made her acting debut in 2002 with Koi Mere Dil Se Poochhe. Her performance was praised and she won several awards along with Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Na Tum Jaano Na Hum and Kyaa Dil Ne Kahaa were her two released Hindi films of the year.
In 2003, she acted in three films, Kucch To Hai, Chura Liyaa Hai Tumne and LOC: Kargil.
