He is best known for playing the role of Jogi Thakur in Colors TV’s serial Uttaran and Rajnath Goenka in Star Plus’s TV serial Ek Hasina Thi. He made his screen debut in 1992 with a commercial feature film Mashooq. He also played an important role in Farhan Akhtar’s directorial debut Dil Chahta Hai (2001). He has appeared in television serials like Karishma, Sahib Biwi Gulam, Sajda Tere Pyaar Mein, Uttaran, Ek Hasina Thi, Phir Bhi Na Maane… Badtameez Dil, Zindagi Abhi Baki Hai Mere Ghost, Shakti- Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki, Ek Bhram Sarvagun Sampanna and Ranju Ki Betiyaan.
